Wooden cubes
Respect for the builder
This morning little Moritz sat in the building corner and built a tower with the wooden cubes that was so tall he could hardly see over it! The little boy was so proud of himself. It was truly a lovely sight.
The wooden cubes are ideal for creating structures and thus for promoting fine motor skills. They also support early basics of spatial imagination. Children literally grasp, see and feel quantities. Abstract numbers become visible and understandable for children with the wooden cubes. This allows first simple math exercises to be given in kindergarten or primary school.
Challenge the little mathematician
With our untreated wooden cubes, you can—with a bit of creativity—also craft Soma cubes. Simply glue seven individual cubes together to form polycubes. The goal is then to assemble the polycubes into one large wooden cube.
This creates a puzzle for the little geniuses in your kindergarten and school, who can be further challenged in spatial thinking.
On top: Don’t forget the artist among the kids
The wooden cubes also provide a basis for all the creative minds in your daycare or school. The cubes can be painted or decorated. Individual letters can also be placed on them to later form words with the wooden cubes. First craft and then move into language development—the possibilities are there.
With older children in primary school you can also try hand lettering or wood engravings on the cubes and thus create small works of art.
