The round weaving frame from KRAFT offers artists from 4 years old the opportunity to create their very own round woven treasures. A wide variety of wool yarns, decorative yarns, textile yarns, beads or found objects are woven in with the blunt weaving needle. Old T-shirts can be sustainably turned into textile yarn and incorporated into the woven piece. Felt wool can also be woven into the frame and subsequently fulled in hot soapy water. That creates the most beautiful pot holders and coasters. Due to the easy handling of the round weaving frame, even kindergarten children can create individual woven art. Treasures and found objects, such as natural materials from the last walk in the woods, can also flow into the woven art.

Instructions

Any thread that fits into the 3 mm notches can be used to warp the round weaving frame. To begin, the thread is wrapped around one tine of the frame and tied firmly to it. Then the thread is placed into the opposite notch and guided clockwise outward around that tine. It is then stretched back to the opposite notch and inserted again according to the same principle, guided outward and wrapped clockwise around it. This process is repeated until a thread is stretched into every notch. Once this is done, the first wool cord can be selected for weaving and tied in the center of the frame. The first woven artwork is created. Those who want to feel the weaving material in their fingertips can simply pass it through the frame with their fingers. But the included weaving needle can also be used to let the desired material glide up and down like a shuttle. Wave after wave, until your own artwork is complete. Once the entire frame has been woven to your liking, tie off the end and you can simply pull the finished woven piece off the frame. So that it can be used again for the next artwork.
