Fröbelturm made of solid wood - Tower building game
The Fröbelturm has rightfully earned its place among the most popular team games.
Its easy understanding and many possible uses combine exciting fun with active team building.
Building the Fröbelturm together in cooperative teamwork
The goal of the game is to build a tower from the blocks. To achieve this, strings are used to control a hook. The hook fits into the notches of the blocks and is used to build the tower. With combined strength, one block after another is attached to the hook and stacked with the utmost concentration. This can create quite a thrill. An exciting game whose goal can only be achieved together.
On top: To improve success, we equip the top surface of the hardwood blocks with crossed notches. This allows a fallen block to be easily set upright again using the hook.
Strengthening team building & the individual
A common goal that unites:
Feeling connected with the group. A valuable feeling that can arise even if the players do not yet know each other.
Through a shared goal.
The collective ambition and the resulting sense of togetherness are quickly awakened by the Fröbelturm.
A feeling that connects.
Perspective change & empathy:
When building the Fröbelturm, the perspective of others is taken into account. For example, if one side has to pull tight, the other side loosens. Players learn to think holistically and to put themselves in the position of others.
Verbal & nonverbal communication:
Since everyone must pull together, cooperation and communication are necessary.
Players contribute their own ideas but must agree on a common direction.
It is important to listen to what fellow players say and also express one’s own views to the group.
Communication can be verbal or nonverbal. One of the many game variants involves not speaking during the game.
An exciting way to play. Here, the focus is placed even more on learning to read other players correctly and expressing oneself through body language.
Creating and implementing solutions together:
The Fröbelturm serves as a practical example of a lively, democratic community. Problems are recognized and solutions are devised together. Solutions that sometimes require compromise and train the adaptability of individual players. But this does not always mean adapting; expressing one’s own thoughts also leads the community to exactly the solutions needed to achieve the common goal.
Getting to know the players:
The Fröbelturm is a valuable tool for getting to know the players and offers the opportunity to better understand team constellations.
Observing the gameplay provides valuable insights.
Who plans first and who immediately jumps into action?
Who is patient, who is impatient?
Who takes on which role?
How are one’s own mistakes handled? And those of others?
This helps to better understand teams and to specifically support individual players in their development.
Achieving goals together and celebrating success
There it finally stands: The Fröbelturm!
Who made it? Us.
A success experience that strengthens groups.
Groups from 4 to 24 people aged 6 and up
The Fröbelturm is suitable for different group sizes. Fun can start with as few as 4 players and it doesn’t stop even with large groups. The Fröbelturm can be played with up to 24 players. It is suitable for players aged 6 and older. There is no upper limit. Because belonging is good for everyone.
Versatile uses and gameplay options including instructions
The Fröbelturm is suitable for a wide variety of groups. Whether schools, kindergartens, seminars, sports teams, or with colleagues.
This versatile team game is an enrichment for every group.
Another genius of the Fröbelturm: It is quick and easy to explain.
Nevertheless, you receive the Fröbelturm including instructions. These show, besides interesting facts and inspiring thoughts, practical uses and gameplay options.
For example, the Fröbelturm can be built using the players’ weaker hand or entirely nonverbally. A game with many facets.
