To equip our large hourglasses for the action-packed daycare & school routine, the hand-blown beautiful glass is securely anchored in an impact-absorbing foam cushion. The robust plastic casing ensures that our lovely hourglasses can be actively used by the children.

How children develop a sense of time

'Time flies today' — okay, but what exactly does that mean? Our Hourglass Maxi help children develop a first sense of time. Because that is not so easy. We notice it ourselves when we do something we enjoy or when every second in the waiting room seems endless. The Hourglass Maxi help little ones feel when three minutes have passed or how long it feels when the sand trickles from top to bottom for thirty seconds. Our Hourglass Maxi thus become a colorful, visual support for temporal sequences or processes.
