When I put my hand in properly, I can move her head and her little legs. The puppet’s body then rests on my arm and the fun puppet play can begin. This strengthens my fine motor skills. This hand puppet, like all other caterpillars, doesn’t do much, but eats all day. Why does it do that? Well, at some point the hand puppet pupates into a cocoon. And then the big transformation happens. For that I just have to flip the puppet over once. First the butterfly’s head hatches from the cocoon and then the rest of the body follows and tadaaaa – Caterpillar Frieda has become Butterfly Frieda!With the butterfly puppet I also just put my hand in and can pretend the hand puppet is alive.
